How did you operate before, and what has improved thanks to VITS?
Before implementing VITS, our occupational safety processes were largely paper-based. Information was fragmented, time-consuming to access, and creating a comprehensive overview required a lot of manual work. This was the primary reason we decided to adopt the VITS work environment—the need to move from paper toward a digital and systemic solution.
Today, processes related to occupational health and safety are quickly accessible, clear, and centralized in one environment. This has given us a clear picture of the occupational safety status across the entire production.
How has VITS helped you better organize occupational health and safety?
VITS has helped us organize occupational health and safety much more systematically. I clearly feel that this environment is not just a tool; it has helped unite the entire company team behind a common goal—ensuring a safe work environment for everyone. Responsibility no longer rests solely on specific roles; instead, occupational safety has become a shared priority for the entire organization.
Is there a specific time saving?
While it is still too early to point to specific time-saving figures, the practical benefit is already clearly felt. Many processes that previously required multiple steps and separate communication now take place in one environment and much more smoothly.
What is/are the main functionality/ies you use?
When we started using VITS, we quickly realized that all the functionalities were actually necessary for us. We first fully implemented the incident (hazardous situation) reporting functionality. Its success depends largely on the awareness and contribution of all parties—technicians, foremen, and managers. If someone does not perceive their role in ensuring occupational safety, it is difficult to get such a solution to work. In our company, however, this functionality was adopted very quickly, clearly showing that people were ready and waiting for a better solution.
How have the employees received VITS?
Initially, we thought that digitalization would be the most difficult part for employees—we expected more guidance and constant side-by-side assistance. The reality turned out to be the opposite. The adoption of VITS by employees was the smoothest stage of the entire process.
Employees have actively contributed to ensuring that data is correct and that approvals happen smoothly. It is clearly visible that they consciously wait for various notifications and treat the environment as an everyday work tool. We are especially pleased that our middle managers understand the necessity and value of VITS. They appreciate how smoothly processes function in this environment and are sincerely satisfied with the solution.
