Training describes what an employee learns in their job and who instructs them. In VITS you can split training into levels and skills, for example “Operator I”, “Operator II” and “Operator III”, and evidence each skill separately. The instructor’s and the employee’s confirmations stay on record as proof that the training actually took place.
What you can do
- Levels and skills — each level has its own skills; a skill can have assessment criteria, a video and an instructor.
- Reaches the right employees — link the training to the whole company, departments, professions or locations and VITS adds it to the profiles of the matching employees, including new hires and people who change profession.
- The instructor confirms first — if a skill has an instructor, they confirm that they delivered the training, and only then does the employee receive the invitation to confirm. The instructor can also reject the skill.
- Instructions as a prerequisite — you can attach instructions to a skill that the employee has to confirm before confirming the skill.
- Test and exam — the employee can confirm a skill after passing its test; an exam can also be added to the training or to a level.
- Reminders to both sides — to the employee who has not confirmed, and to the instructor whose sign-off is missing.
- Confirmation in the portal or with an SMS code — the employee confirms the training in the self-service portal, or through an emailed link and an SMS code.
- A PDF record for every completed training and level, plus an overview of whose training is still in progress.
